Sacrum Behaviour Support Practitioners use a respectful, person-centred approach to understand behaviours of concern. Our focus is on identifying the underlying reasons for behaviour and creating positive strategies that improve safety, wellbeing, and quality of life.
All services follow NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Framework guidelines and aim to reduce the use of restrictive practices.

Behaviour Support Process at Sacrum
- Initial Assessment — Gather information about the participant's history, environment, supports, and behaviours
- Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA) — A structured assessment to understand why behaviours occur, identifying triggers, patterns, and maintaining factors
- Interim Behaviour Support Plan — A short-term plan developed quickly to reduce risk while the full assessment continues
- Therapy Planning — Develop practical strategies to teach new skills, improve emotional regulation, and prevent behaviours
- Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan — A detailed plan that includes proactive strategies, teaching strategies, crisis responses, and environmental supports
- Plan Implementation and Monitoring — Training is provided to families and support workers to apply strategies consistently
- Outcome Report — Evaluation of progress, outcomes, and recommendations for ongoing supports
- Change of Circumstances — Plans may be reviewed and updated when the participant's situation changes (e.g., new school, home environment, or support needs)
